You can play D and A alone for a more open sound, then introduce F when you want the character of D minor to become fully present.

Compared with the clear Numa set, which carries the same notes one octave lower, Vana offers that harmonic relationship through the larger-bodied voice of our frosted bowls.

TUNING

Our bowls are available in two tunings: 440 Hz and 432 Hz.

  • 440 Hz is the standard tuning in Western music, offering a clear, bright tone that aligns easily with other instruments and musical structures. Its precise frequency relationships make it ideal for harmonic layering and group sound work.

  • 432 Hz, slightly lower in pitch, is favored by many for its warmer, more organic resonance. Some musicians and healers consider it more aligned with natural vibrations, including the Earth’s resonance and the body’s energy field. It’s often used in meditative or restorative sessions for its gentle, expansive quality.
