Rite of Resonance

Sound Practitioner Intensive (50 Hour Training) — Bali

A 7-day immersion into sound, listening & embodied practice

Deepen your listening. Embody your sound.

A week to step out of the usual rhythm and into a deeper relationship with sound.

Surrounded by rice fields and the quiet movement of nature in lush Ubud, this immersion brings together the full arc of our work. From first listening to advanced facilitation, from personal practice to shared experience.

This is our first weeklong onsite training held at the beautiful retreat space Senses in Ubud, Bali. We come together to learn, to practice, to be held by the landscape, community and to let this work settle deeply into the body.

This immersion is open to anyone who feels called to explore sound healing more deeply, whether you are just beginning or already working in the field.

It may be a fit if you want to:

  • understand how to create and guide sound journeys

  • deepen your musicality and listening skills

  • feel confident using sound in both personal and group settings

  • bring clarity and structure into your existing practice

  • experience sound training in a fully embodied, immersive retreat setting

Wherever you are starting from, this immersion meets you there and supports you in taking the next step with depth and intention.

About

Step into deeper Resonance

This immersion is for those who feel ready to go deeper.

Not only into technique, but into presence.
Not only into playing, but into listening.
Not only into facilitation, but into the kind of steadiness that allows sound to truly land.

Across seven days, we bring together the foundations of Level 1 and the refinement of Level 2, weaving them into a fuller experience. The teaching moves through voice, many different instruments (crystal bowls, himalayan bowls, gongs, flutes, drums, harmonium etc.), music theory understanding, nervous system awareness, facilitation and conscious session design all within a setting that supports spaciousness, reflection and embodiment.

Rather than separating learning from life, this immersion brings them into one field.

You will spend the week immersed in Bali’s lush nature practicing, listening, sharing, receiving feedback, and integrating the work in real time.

The Building Blocks

  • Musical Foundations & Sound Design

A sound journey is shaped by how sound is organized.

We explore the essential elements of music: melody, rhythm, harmony, and tonal relationships and how they translate into coherent, immersive sound experiences. The focus is practical: understanding how to combine sounds, create flow and build sessions that feel coheseve and intentional.

This foundation brings more clarity to your playing and supports your intuition with structure.

  • Instrument Practice & Integration

Working with instruments requires both sensitivity and skill.

Through extended hands-on practice with crystal bowls and a range of complementary instruments, you will refine your touch, timing and listening. We focus on how sounds interact, how to create space within a soundscape, and how to play with greater precision and intention.

Over time, your playing becomes clearer, more confident and more responsive.

  • Somatics & Embodied Movement

Before we work with sound, we begin with the body.

We focus on developing a deeper sensitivity to internal experience through somatic practices and gentle, embodied movement. You’ll learn to listen more closely to physical sensations, subtle shifts, and the state of your own nervous system.

Rather than approaching sound from the mind, we work from direct perception. This becomes the foundation for everything that follows:
a more attuned way of listening, a more honest expression and a more embodied approach to working with sound.

  • The Voice as Instrument

Your voice is the most immediate instrument you have.

Throughout the immersion, we work with vocal activation, toning and breath to help you access your voice with more ease and confidence. Rather than forcing expression, we create space for the voice to emerge naturally: steady, supported, and connected.

This also includes gently working through the patterns that often hold the voice back, so it can become a reliable and integrated part of your sound practice.

  • Guiding & Holding Space

Facilitation is not only about what you play, but how you guide.

We explore the foundations of holding space how to give clear guidance, how to stay present and how to respond to what is happening in the room. This includes working with group dynamics, maintaining boundaries, and developing a steady, grounded presence as a facilitator.

The emphasis is on guiding in a way that feels natural, responsible and attuned, nervous-system aware & trauma informed.

  • Bringing Your Work into the World

For those who feel called to share this work, clarity matters.

We look at how to communicate what you offer in a simple and grounded way from shaping your sessions to speaking about your work with confidence. The focus is not on performance, but on alignment: expressing your work in a way that feels honest and sustainable.

This is a 50-hour training, but it is also more than that.

It is time spent in a different pace.
Time to study sound without rushing it.
Time to notice what supports your presence, what interrupts it and what strengthens your relationship with your own practice.

You will deepen your understanding of:

  • vocal work and expressive freedom

  • crystal bowls and multi-instrument integration

  • music theory, harmonics & tonal structure

  • nervous system-informed facilitation

  • session design and journey flow

  • space holding, ethics and professional clarity

  • the relationship between personal practice and guiding others

The setting in Ubud gives this work another layer. The quiet, the warmth, the green space, the slower rhythm, all of it supports a kind of listening that is harder to access in everyday life.

Testimonials from our Students

About your facilitators

Born from a shared vision of holistic well-being and personal growth, the founders of Soulravel, Jonny and Natalija have united their passions to create a sanctuary for like-minded souls. With backgrounds rooted in yoga, sound healing, and conscious community-building, they bring together diverse practices and experiences to offer transformative retreats, workshops, and events.

  • Co-Founder Soulravel

Jonny has spent the past decade teaching yoga across retreats, festivals, and trainings worldwide. Raised in a musical family, he felt early on how sound can soothe, awaken, and mend. But the industry’s ego and burnout pulled him away from that truth. An injury and the disorientation that followed brought him to yoga in 2009. As his body recovered, he felt something larger recalibrate: breath steadying mind, presence softening the edges of life. He knew he wanted to share that pathway with others.

Since then, Jonny has worked with many students and learned what the body keeps teaching: healing is personal. He brings clear anatomical understanding, but values curiosity over perfection, inviting people to explore, adapt, and trust their own pace. His gift is creating safe, unpressured rooms where emotions can move and expression feels welcome.

Music never left; it matured. Today Jonny weaves years of sonic training into sound healing journeys and facilitator trainings, offering sound not as performance but as medicine: predictable, grounded, and deeply human. With reverence for lineage and a light touch, he encourages a life lived bravely and kindly: meet fear with breath, forgive often, love without keeping score.

  • Co-Founder Soulravel

Natalija is a yoga teacher (RYT+500) and certified sound practitioner whose work has always been guided by healing and human connection. Before teaching full-time, she spent years in social work, earning a Master’s degree and witnessing, up close, the resilience and tenderness of the human heart. Yoga arrived as devotion rather than hobby; it gave language to what she’d felt all along: practice can change how we relate and live.

After years of studying and teaching yoga, somatics opened a new chapter. It asked a different kind of question: not How does the pose look? but What do you feel? In many traditional classrooms, the space to truly sense: slowly, curiously, without performance can be missed. Natalija’s work leans intentionally shifted toward that space. She teaches people to meet sensation as information, to listen for the small yes/no in the body, and to let awareness, not ambition set the pace. Through movement & sound, she helps students attune to their inner landscape.

Music has always been the heartbeat of Natalija’s life. Drawn to the healing potential of sound, she studied instruments and ancient modalities in India alongside their modern applications. Crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, harmonium, voice each became a way of offering medicine. Together with Jonny, she composes and plays improvised soundscapes, creating grounded, spacious fields where participants can truly receive.

What continues to inspire her is the simple courage people bring to practice, showing up as they are, again and again.
