Advanced Sound Practitioner Training (Level 2)

YACEP (50 Hr)

20 Hours In-Person Immersion
+ 30 Hours Guided Personal Sādhana & Professional Integration

Advanced Sound Practitioner Training

Depth is not found by adding more. It is revealed through listening more deeply.

Level 2 is a three-day (20-hour) in-person immersion for practitioners who have completed Level 1 with us, or an equivalent foundation training, and are already working with sound or preparing to begin.

The three days focus on four areas: your voice, your musicianship, the way you cue and hold a room, and the professional foundations of your practice. This is followed by a guided 30-hour personal sadhana, supported by a workbook, recorded voice practices, listening meditations and integration exercises that allow the learning to continue long after the training has ended.

The training is held in a small group so there is time for each person to play, be heard and receive individual feedback.

Level 1 gave you the foundations and your first sound journey. Level 2 is where the craft becomes more refined.

Our trainings are offered regularly in Zurich, Switzerland at Soulcity Zurich and Sri Lanka at Senses, allowing practitioners to join us in both Europe and Asia throughout the year.

Inside the Training

In Depth is for practitioners who feel ready to move into refinement. Together we deepen the relationship with voice as an instrument, exploring breath, range and toning alongside alankaras—traditional Indian melodic exercises that cultivate precision, musicality and confidence.

We explore deeper music theory and the architecture of an immersive sound journey, refining your playing and your relationship with a wider family of instruments. Alongside the practical skills, we turn our attention to facilitation itself: learning how language lands in the body through skilful verbal and somatic cueing, meeting the inevitable challenges of holding space with greater clarity and discernment and receiving direct feedback that supports both your craft and your growth as a practitioner.

The training also includes guidance on growing and presenting your work professionally, so you leave with the confidence and tools to share your offerings with studios, retreats and future collaborators.

The Building Blocks

    The Voice

Your voice is your most personal instrument.

For many sound practitioners, the voice is the least explored instrument. Throughout the training, we develop the voice through breath, resonance, toning and alankaras—traditional melodic exercises from the Indian classical tradition that cultivate accuracy, range and musical sensitivity. From there, we explore how the voice weaves with the shruti box, harmonium and singing bowls, allowing it to become a natural and integrated part of your facilitation.

    Applied Music Theory

    Harmony, rhythm & musicality

A deeper understanding of music allows for greater freedom in how we play. We go further into intervals, harmonic relationship and rhythm, not as notation, but as the reason one combination of sounds feels coherent and another does not. You will build sound journeys with intention: where tension sits, how it resolves, when to leave space.

    Deep Listening

Listening is at the heart of this work.

Drawing on the principles of Nada Yoga and contemplative listening practices, we cultivate the ability to hear more deeply. This practice is woven throughout the training and continues to unfold during your personal sadhana.

    Instrument Lab & Playing Technique

Refining what your hands already know

Extended hands-on time with focused feedback. We refine technique on crystal and Himalayan bowls, widen the range of instruments you work with & practise layering so each sound has a place. All our instruments are avaivable but if you already have your instruments, bring your own set. Much of the value here comes from working with the instruments you will actually use.

  • Practising 1:1 sound facilitation during the advanced sound practitioner training

    Embodied Facilitation

    Cueing & Facilitation

How we speak shapes how sound is received. Through dedicated practice, we explore verbal and somatic cueing, refining language that supports your work. We also explore the realities of facilitation and blockages. Throughout the training, you'll receive direct feedback on your facilitation, supporting your confidence and your continued growth as a practitioner.

    Sharing Your Work

Throughout the training, you'll develop a Presence Deck, a professional portfolio that brings together your facilitator profile, your offerings and the way you communicate your work. Refined through feedback and completed alongside your sadhana, it becomes something you can confidently share with studios, retreat centres, collaborators and private clients.

Your Presence Deck

Throughout the training, you will create a Presence Deck, a professional portfolio that brings together your facilitator profile, your offerings and the way you communicate your work. Developed alongside your practice and refined through feedback, it becomes a clear foundation for sharing your work with studios, retreat centres, festivals and collaborators.
