Kala is one of the more unusual combinations in the collection. C and F begin with the openness of a perfect fourth. B then introduces a major seventh above C, while the relationship between F and B forms a tritone, one of music's most naturally tension-filled intervals.

The result is not a conventional chord that immediately settles. It leaves questions in the sound. That makes Kala particularly interesting for facilitators who do not want everything to feel perfectly consonant all the time. Used slowly, its tension can create contrast before moving into more stable instruments or harmonies.

For those drawn to ambiguity, spaciousness and a little more edge in their sound palette, Kala offers something very different from our major and minor triads.

Each bowl is made to order from 99.9% silica quartz and comes with mallets, silicone rings and cushioned carrier bags. Available in 440 Hz or 432 Hz reference tuning.

TUNING

Our bowls are available in two tunings: 440 Hz and 432 Hz.

  • 440 Hz is the standard tuning in Western music, offering a clear, bright tone that aligns easily with other instruments and musical structures. Its precise frequency relationships make it ideal for harmonic layering and group sound work.

  • 432 Hz, slightly lower in pitch, is favored by many for its warmer, more organic resonance. Some musicians and healers consider it more aligned with natural vibrations, including the Earth’s resonance and the body’s energy field. It’s often used in meditative or restorative sessions for its gentle, expansive quality.

Each tuning offers a unique tonal landscape—choose based on the energetic texture and intention you wish to cultivate.

CARE OF YOUR BOWLS

Clear crystal singing bowls are very delicate and should always be handled with care. Be fully present when packing, transporting, or playing them — even light pressure or impact can cause cracks or breakage. Never place mallets, wands, or any other objects inside the bowls, and avoid wearing jewelry, especially necklaces, rings, or bracelets, while playing to prevent accidental contact. Always play on a stable, padded surface with clean, dry hands. After use, gently place the bowls back in their designated bags, store them safely away from pets or busy areas, and never put anything on top of them. Proper care will help preserve their clarity, tone, and energy for years to come.
